About Our Services
What MentalCarePath offers, who the counsellor is, and what kind of support we can — and can't — provide.
What is MentalCarePath?
MentalCare Path offers non-clinical, talk-based counselling and emotional wellbeing support for individuals and organisations. We help people cope with everyday challenges, including stress, work pressure, relationship concerns, low motivation, life transitions and building resilience.
Who is the counsellor?
Sessions are conducted by Suman Sinha, Counsellor studied from Medhavi University Sikkim through Counsel India.
What does "non-clinical" mean?
It means we provide supportive, conversation-based counselling. We do not diagnose mental illnesses, prescribe medication, or provide medical or psychiatric treatment. Our counsellor is not a psychiatrist. If we believe you may benefit from clinical assessment or treatment, we will suggest that you consult a qualified psychiatrist or clinical psychologist.
What can counselling help with?
Counselling can help with:
- Everyday stress
- Work-life balance
- Burnout
- Exam and career pressure
- Grief and loss
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Self-esteem
- Anger
- Adjusting to change
Counselling is a space to talk openly, understand your feelings, and build practical coping skills.
Is counselling right for me if I have a diagnosed mental health condition?
Counselling may complement your treatment, but it does not replace it. Please continue any treatment prescribed by your doctor. With your permission, we are happy to work alongside your treating professional.
Do you offer workshops for companies?
Yes. Our half-day program "Employee Emotional Wellbeing & Resilience" helps teams manage stress, recognise early signs of emotional strain, and support one another. Contact us for details and customisation.

Can minors attend counselling?
Clients under 18 can attend with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where appropriate, a guardian may be involved in sessions. We will explain the limits of confidentiality to both the young person and the guardian.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share is kept confidential, and we do not disclose it to your family, employer or anyone else without your consent. There are limited exceptions where disclosure may be necessary:
- There is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else.
- A child or vulnerable person may be at risk.
- Disclosure is required by law or by a court order.
Wherever possible, we will discuss this with you first.
If my employer arranges a workshop or sessions, will they see what I share?
No. Employers receive only anonymous, aggregate feedback, such as attendance numbers and general themes. No individual's personal information or discussion is shared.
What personal data do you collect, and how is it used?
We collect only what is needed to provide our services. This includes your name, contact details, and brief session notes. We collect it with your consent and use it solely for providing counselling, scheduling, and meeting legal requirements. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.
This is in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your data is stored securely and kept for the required period, after which it is deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Expectations
Can you guarantee results?
No. Counselling is a collaborative process, and outcomes depend on many personal factors, so we cannot guarantee specific results. We are committed to providing respectful, ethical, and non-judgemental support.
What if I'm not comfortable with my counsellor?
Please tell us. We welcome feedback. If our service is not the right fit for you, we will help you find suitable alternatives.
